Check Yourself: A PSA for National Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week

National Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week is April 2-8, 2012. Join us in spreading the word and encouraging young adults everywhere to be proactive about their health.

THIS YEAR More than 70,000 young adults under the age of 40 will hear the words ‘You have CANCER’; that’s one EVERY eight minutes.

We must UNITE By IGNITING a movement that INFORMS and URGES Young Adults EVERYWHERE to CHECK YOURSELF.

Check your SKIN.  Avoid tanning & tanning booths!

Check your TESTICLES.

Check your BREASTS.  Get a yearly PAP SMEAR.

Ask your doctor if the HPV VACCINE would benefit you.

Get your ANNUAL CHECK-UP.

DON’T SMOKE!

Nothing is more IMPORTANT than knowing YOUR BODY.

If pain PERSISTS, Don’t RESIST.  Our lives depend on it, PERIOD.

We invite you to help us SPREAD the word.

Have you CHECKED YOURSELF lately?
